(Plastics News)—The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) says tariffs are vital for national security and economic stability and should be kept in place while a lawsuit filed by small business owners is appealed.
The lawsuit filed by Salt Lake City-based Genova Pipe and four other businesses alleges that Liberation Day tariffs put in place by President Donald Trump have not only cost them critical suppliers and customers but also pose a direct threat to their survival.
