Central Davidson Student Suspended for Saying ‘Illegal Alien’ Will Receive Apology as Part of Settlement

(The Dispatch)—The lawsuit against the Davidson County Board of Education over a student suspended for saying “illegal alien” in class is being dropped in exchange for a public apology and $20,000, according to terms of a settlement filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina.

The settlement is still pending a judge’s approval.
