Ian Duncan

Litigation Fellow, Liberty Justice Center

Ian Duncan is a Litigation Fellow at the Liberty Justice Center, after previously serving as a legal intern during his last semester in law school. He is passionate about constitutional litigation and defending individual liberty from government overreach.

Ian is a 2026 graduate, magna cum laude, of Cleveland State University College of Law, where he where he served as Articles Editor of the Cleveland State Law Review, Treasurer of the Federalist Society, and was a research assistant to Professor Lorenzo Luisetto. He received his B.A., magna cum laude, in Paralegal Studies from Kent State University.

Before joining LJC, Ian served as a judicial extern to Justice R. Patrick DeWine of the Supreme Court of Ohio, Judge J. Philip Calabrese of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, and Judge Michelle J. Sheehan of Ohio’s Eighth District Court of Appeals. He also served as a summer legal fellow at the Buckeye Institute, in Columbus, Ohio.
